Stock sell-through rate

Lee over at Microstock Diaries has a great update on how to calculate your stock sell-through rate. This is “the portion of your total portfolio of photos that have sold at least once” and “when used in conjunction with other metrics your sell-through rate tells you the commercial appeal of your portfolio”. Great stuff! Here is my data (13% overall, 22% with sites that have at least 1 sale and 72% at subscription sites), as you can see my portfolio is still very new and hopefully this metric will improve over time..

    Hi James, nice chart ;)

As sell-through rises over time, your figures aren’t too bad for such a young portfolio. My portfolio has 2 years on yours, so it’s not a fair comparison. Still, this is a very handy metric.
