eMusic - first impressions
I signed up for eMusic today and got 50 free downloads in addition to the 75 I paid for with my monthly subscription ($20). While they have millions of songs available, they don’t have any from ColdPlay, Radiohead, REM, OMD, The Cure, Paul Van Dyk, Muse, The Killers, Elefant, etc., etc. You get the idea. They do have tons of stuff from Indie artists and its fun to find new music, but this isn’t what I was hoping for.
I’ve downloaded about 50 songs this morning from artists and compilations similar to those above and will give it another go this afternoon or tomorrow. I’ll probably cancel my subscription as soon as I’ve emptied my credits.
Does anyone know of somewhere better, legal and as cheap to download music?

Amazon is a valid option. Its DRM free and the prices are comparable to iTunes, but found Amazon to be slightly cheaper in some selections.

iTunes is easy enough to make work on anything as well. Cheap & GREAT selection. What mean “legal?” Do people do that?

Wow
Great minds, I spent $14.85 way too quickly this morning on iTunes! I don’t even want to think about how long that took me to earn with my stock sales (ok, roughly 3 days and 18 hours ;)).
